A twelve kilowatt array across three pitches

Three roof planes at three different pitches, on a house with two EVs and a heat pump. The array was split across two inverters so the north-west plane never drags the rest of the system down.

Storage was sized on the household's own winter usage rather than a rule of thumb: 26 kWh covers an evening peak and one outage day without generator support.

What was installed

  • 22 bifacial modules at 545 W across three roof planes
  • Two string inverters with independent MPPT per plane
  • 26 kWh of storage with whole-home backup
  • Production monitoring on the Standard plan

Storage was sized on the household's own winter usage, not a rule of thumb.

Twelve months of metered production came in 2% above model. The monitoring report goes to the owner monthly.
